The student chapter of the Power and Energy Society at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo strives to provide its members with knowledge and experience with technological developments in the electric power industry. Our goal is to develop the professionalism required for future internship and employment opportunities. We provide educational opportunities such as industry tours, information sessions, and technical talks.
Hello everyone! My name is Andrew Kargol, and I am the current president of Cal Poly SLO’s Power and Energy Society. I am a fifth-year Electrical Engineering student pursuing my master’s degree with an emphasis in Power Systems. As club president my goal is to give you the skills, knowledge, and hands on experience to succeed in a career in power. Hi everyone! I am a first year interested in studying power in order to go into the renewable energy field! I joined PES in order to explore all the different opportunities in power and energy, as well as to network with both upperclassman as well as many notable companies that PES is in contact with.
